This excellent book clearly shows how the seven feasts that God commanded the Jews to observe are important to Christians today. The authors skillfully show how these feasts clearly point toward the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. This is a definite "must read" for anyone with an interest in prophecy, end times, or the return of Jesus Christ!

This is by far the best book ever written on the subject for all believers in Christ Jesus. The authors poignantly describe each feast from the Jewish perspective and for the Christian the purpose and meaning today. Knowing and understanding each feast is vital for the Christian. It will open the Old Testament revealing Christ all throughout. If one thinks the Old Testament, Old Covenant is not relevant to the believer, one does not understand the entire writings of the entire Bible.This book is easy to understand and highly recommended. I have many many books and read them all on the subject of the Feasts and this is the one I recommend to begin your studies on this subject.

Reading this book was like plowing new territory. I have a new appreciation for the Hebraic roots and Jewish customs. In examining all the feasts I realize that God is truly a God of order and does everything according to his calendar. The Messiah fulfilled the four spring feasts exactly on the days they were celebrated, which lets us know that the three fall feasts will be fulfilled in order also. This book addressed the difference between the Hebrew/Jewish calendar and the Gregorian calendar that being the Hebrew month is lunar 29 ½ days and the Gregorian month is solar giving 365 ¼ days per year as opposed to the 360 days which makes the 1,260 days indicated in scripture regarding the tribulation clear.Based on the information presented the feast of first fruits is about the resurrection. Also mentioned was the origin of the date of Christmas, it was celebrated by pagan sun-worshipers as the birthday of the new moon. The Jubilee year was a huge plus, this also included the sabbatical year where debts were released. It was a postponement of debt not a cancellation. I thoroughly enjoyed this one, it was not a quick read for me because of the unfamiliar information but necessary and beautifully illustrated.

Very informative book. Love all the information. As long as I have been a christian, I can't help but think.....if the feasts (these rehearsals) had been taught in the churches I've attended (navy brat, lots and lots of them) I don't think alter calls would ever have been needed, nor would that "re-saving" thing, nor the confusion surrounding all the pagan "holidays" we keep. The foretelling of Jesus redemptive act, the actual fulfillment, his coming again, our future with him and and all those who are sorry for their own sin and merely accept that sacrifice....... is simply/completely revealed over and over in the very feasts God gave to the Israelite's and to us.

One of my favorite books, needing replacement due to having "loaned out" my original copy. It is in excellent condition and was signed by Marvin Rosenthal soon after it was published.Marvin Rosenthal explores the Old Testament Feasts of the Lord as prophesy, some of which have been fulfilled literally on the observed feasts, such as Jesus, the perfect Lamb of God being sacrificed on the feast of Passover just as the Passover lamb was being sacrificed; His resurrection on the feast of First Fruits; The coming of the Holy Spirit upon the church on the feast of Pentecost (aka Weeks).Based on these fulfilled prophesies, Rosenthal comments on the remaining Feasts of the Lord to be fulfilled in the future.

First off let me say I think this book is wonderful and should be read by every Christian or anyone seeking to further their understanding of the Jewish Feasts. I first heard of this book when taking a Beth Moore Bible study where it was referenced, and I looked for it in several bookstores before breaking down and ordering it from Amazon. I grew up going to church weekly (Protestant denominations), attending Sunday school, and going to Bible studies. Yet this book managed to make my jaw drop more than once. The authors explain the Jewish Feasts in painfully easy-to-understand fashion and include lots of charts and illustrations. In the past, when I would read the New Testament and see a reference to a Jewish Feast, I never really gave it much thought except to possibly date the events being described. I had no idea that by not understanding the referenced Feast I could be missing the point of the entire episode. The book charts the Feasts in terms of their being a calendar of the Kingdom of God, and the explanations make crystal clear sense. Now when I read about Jesus attending the Feast of Tabernacles and referring to Himself as the Living Water and the Light of the World, I actually have context in which to understand how an audience of first century Hebrews might have understood Him. I'm finding myself looking underneath the surface of Bible stories I thought I understood and ascertaining new and beautiful meanings, all pointing to God's wondrous love! I shared this book with my Sunday school class and several friends, all of whom say it has given them new perspective on scripture. I can't recommend this book highly enough to anyone who might be interested in learning about the Jewish Feasts and what they have to teach us today.
